There are many things that come to mind when picturing San Diego: beautiful beaches, laid-back SoCal living, fish tacos, craft beer, palm trees, etc. One thing you probably don’t envision is vineyards. While it’s true that nearby Temecula and Valle de Guadalupe may have more to offer, it’s also true that there are many places in San Diego to enjoy a delicious glass of wine. Here are my favorites!
Bernardo Winery: This is the oldest winery in San Diego and is so charming with its many shops and nooks to explore.
Carruth Cellars: This urban winery is in a very cute area near the beach in north county, and they also just opened a tasting room in Little Italy.
Orfila: They have a great outdoor space to enjoy lovely views and live music. I also loved their succulent wall.
Cordiano: This spot is beautiful at sunset due to the pretty outdoor space. Don’t forget to order a pizza–they have a pizza oven!
Espinosa: I really enjoyed their wine and even bought one to take home. They throw cool events and have a chill, smaller vibe (small in a good way).
Witch Creek: I really appreciated the art on the side of the building, and their location in Carlsbad is convenient.
Solterra: This urban winery is located in one of my favorite neighborhoods in San Diego right off Highway 101 (Encinitas). They frequently have trendy live music.
