I recently restructured this site to make it easier to search my posts by location–I added a drop-down section called “Where I’ve Been.” While doing this reorganization, I realized there are two countries I’ve traveled to that are not accounted for on my page. One of them is Italy, my first European country (technically people consider Iceland to be in Europe making that my second). Can anyone who knows me figure out the other country I haven’t posted about yet??
I want to share a couple of snaps from Venice I took back in 2014 (check out that blonde hair! haha). It’s hard to believe that I spent two months studying in the UK and only made it across to Europe for one weekend. Europe– I promise I’ll be seeing more of you soon.
Looking back, Venice feels like a bit of a random choice, but I was more than happy to jet over to Italy for a spontaneous adventure. I remember wandering the square and various canals thinking how romantic it would be to explore with a partner. I ate more gelato than I care to admit and had some of the best pasta ever. I struggled through the language barrier and fell even more in love with being somewhere foreign. Thanks for the memories Venice!
Which country in Europe did you visit first?
